I admit to being confused with conflicting research at the moment. The low carb diet, which eliminates most bread, pasta, rice, fruits and potatoes is apparently good for weight reduction and even though high in fat,is said to lower weight and lower LDL cholesterol. It states this on the Atkins website and backs it up with science.
The low fat diet is high in carbs which are also bad for diabetes and high cholesterol. Armed with this, just what is a healthy diet based on that prevents cholesterol and arterial deposits when both very differen diets slam each other?

Ok Im 16 years old, Im 5’9, 230lbs. and I box. I have a lot of muscle, but some fat on my body that needs to come off. I have good knockout power and win most of my matches but the problem is I get really tired during the 7th and 8th round. My goal is to have more endurance and have a better looking body. I have a real problem following diets and so forth so I basically just stick to eating high-protein, low carb meals to cut fat. So here is my daily regimen: I wake up and in the morning lift, go to my boxing gym and train for about 2 hrs, then right efore bed I run about 3 miles. Any advice?
