Calorie shifting is an approach to weight loss that focuses on eating patterns, rather than on what types of food to eat or avoid. The main idea of calorie shifting is to make sure dieters lose weight without starving themselves.

i keep hearing that as soon as people start eating carbs again after being on a low carb diet for a while, they gain weight instantly. I was wondering, if you transition from a low carb to a low calorie diet instead (to include more food variety) by lowering fat intake from all that meat while upping carb intake, will weight loss efforts be maintained? I was thinking maybe ppl gain because they all of a sudden binge on carbs/sugar, or they dont lower the amt. of fat they eat when they take in more carbs, or they’re not eating good carbs (like whole grains and fruit).
if im off base, can someone let me know how switching can be done?
please dont tell me how low carbing or low calorie is bad because it wont help me with my current situation. thank you
