Question by wnc_86: How does a diet detox make you feel? How extreme should it be?
I’ve found several detox diets, ranging from a week to three months, and from all fruits and vegtables, to only certain ones and salt water. I was wondering if anyone has been on a detox diet before, which kind it was, and how it made you feel. Feedback? Suggestions?

Question by Me: What is a good detox diet that i should try without major health risks?
I’ve looked into the lemon detox and it can apparently make you feel run down and gain wait after it is complete.
I can deal with only drinking liquid i can manage fasting.
Also i am bad with sticking to a diet unless it tells you what to eat and when, like a good guideline roster.
Thanks
I dont really care if they are a scam thats not the question i asked is it?

Looking and feeling good is what everyone wants. Exercising and eating right are the only ways to achieve this. People need food in order to have energy to do certain things. One way to lose weight and still maintain a healthy lifestyle is by only eating foods that are low in saturated fats and high in monounsaturated ones that is being done by the Mediterranean diet.
This is called the Mediterranean diet because the eating plan comes from those who live along the Mediterranean Sea. This was first discovered after the end of the Second World War by an American doctor but never became popular until the 1990′s.

I’m very overweight (female, started at 270 lbs and have lost 18 pounds so far on my diet/workout plan, so now I’m about 250). I’m curious about the types of food I should eat after my workout. I can’t afford a trainer and I’m quite ignorant about dieting and working out. I’ve been overweight for so much of my life that I feel like a child who doesn’t know anything. I’ve basically just been doing everything on my own, looking up stuff online. So here’s the breakdown:
What I’m eating now:
- I have various fruit and a healthy shake in the morning at work around 8am.
- When I get home around 2pm, I make myself another shake and I either have fruit or a low-fat/calorie soup and salad.
- I sometimes have a handful of nuts around 4pm, but not usually. Usually I just make dinner if I’m hungry.
- Dinner is usually a lowfat/calorie soup, fish with a salad, or something heartier but still not too bad with fat/calories. I’m trying to keep to a 1000 calories/day. Even if the fat content is a bit higher, I’m trying to keep the calories down. Before I started dieting, I can’t even tell you how many calories I was eating but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t double or triple this.
- I work out 4 days a week, consisting of walking very fast and slow jogging. I work out in a very hilly cemetery because it’s private and quiet, and I feel less self-conscious. I do this for 2-3 hours each time, and it’s for about 6-7 miles each day.

I eat a bowl of whole grain cereal every morning, chicken or tuna salad dressing for lunch, and a low carb ready meal for tea. But at the moment, I’ve started using whey protein supplements, one after lunch and one before bed. I train every other day, so take it after I finish training. My question though, is if I stop taking the whey, will the above diet sustain results? Or will I lose muscle? Also will that mean I put on fat when stopping?
